Why a veto threat?

If, as President Bush says, his administration doesn't "do" torture, then why is he threatening a veto -- the first of his presidency -- of a bill that would ban the use of torture?

The author said dim son has protected americans from terrorist attacks. Has that clown seen the news at all for the last 3 years? For crying out loud an 'insurgent' is a terrorist for christ sake. Its no different than attacking an embassy or the Cole. When will these people pull their heads out of their asses?

I read her column, and thought, what's the problem, lady? What's the big threat to you?
