Everyone in the state should read thier rep's authored bills. Mady Reiter lists as her occupation as an "insurance agent". Funny, but not ha-ha funny, she's authored or co-authored 8 bills relating to health and auto insurance. My health insurance has gone up and my car insurance certainly hasnt gone down. (sf 2877, 2613, 1773, 1240, 1047, 0939, 0757 and 0192). Must be involved in the Dick Haliglutton school of politics.
sf2942 is especially interesting as it states " A school district or its employees must not use public 1.9 resources or students to produce, convey, or disseminate 1.10 materials or messages advocating the passage or defeat of a 1.11 ballot question, the passage or defeat of legislation pending in 1.12 the legislature, or the election of any candidate for public 1.13 office." Just what the hell will civics classes discuss then?
sf0014 and sf0287 directs teachers to conduct the pledge of allegiance in all public schools in the state.
of course we have the typical republican stand by's, sf0021 english as the official language, sf0020 anti-choice stuff, sf2715 protecting marriage from mobs of gays and my personal favorite, the one that really hits close to home, sf0402 a wage freeze on public and state employees, otherwise known as a tax.
lemme know what u think.....
