Pics from the solidarity PEACE MARCH in St Paul on Saturday
Edited on Sun Sep-25-05 04:48 PM by bvar22
Our group met at the intersection of Snelling & Summmit.
The Media estimated 800. I though it was over 1000, but it was difficult to get a count because the group was spread out. Many lined the intersections and showed signs and waved at the traffic while others listened to a couple of (thankfully) very brief speakers. One WAM group from Augsburg handed out postcards addressed to bush* with END THE WAR" in bold across the front.
We then we marched to the Post Office to mail our postcards en masse.
Our group was energetic, united, resolved, and upbeat. It was inspiring to see so many young and old joining together in common cause.
We had the news about the overwhelming numbers who had made the trip to Washington DC which added to our celebratory spirits.
We ARE the MAJORITY, and we are not silent!
We WILL BE HEARD!!!

Thanks to everyone who made the trip to DC!!

The Democratic Party is a BIG TENT, but there is NO ROOM for those who advance the agenda of THE RICH (Corporate Owners)
at the EXPENSE of LABOR and the POOR.

5. Nice to see Paul's still driving the Kucinichmobile
Support the troops, bring them home!

Kucinich was correct, of course.

6. Do "we" know who belongs to that car?

Is it a DUer?
It is someone I would be proud to call a friend.
Saturday was the first time I have seen it.

7. Some of "we" do, but Paul's not a DUer
LL, goodhue, other Kucitizens know this guy, and I'm sure you'd like him if you met him.

8. Great turnout!! Three cheers for Mpls/St. Paul!
Considering the turnout in DC and other cities, there were millions of us out on Saturday.

You're right, Bob. We are the majority and the people (in the absence of elected leaders) will lead us out of this mess!

Love your pictures. I'll get mine loaded sometime today.

10. As always, wonderful pics. Thanks for posting them.
I had planned to attend the march (of course) but got smacked down with a cold-from-hell Friday and wasn't any better on Saturday. But I was there in spirit if that counts.

Time to surf on over to ebay and see if I can't find me one of them-there immune systems because I apparently have none. Friggin' colds. Ugh.
