I thought I'd add this - I am sure many are already helping & donating, but we should compile a good list here of where to go to donate items. Here's what I found.

Many are coming here with just the clothes they were wearing at the time - suitable for the gulf coast heat, but not for Minnesota fall and weather seasons. Much help is needed.
Items being collected to send to those in Ripley
(in conjuction with Hope for the Cities)
Items being collected are:
* Non-perishable food that can be opened without a can opener and does not need to be cooked. Pop top cans of soup, granola bars, etc.
* Personal Hygeine Items. Toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, soap, deoderant, diapers, diaper wipes, handiwipes, toilet paper, women's personal hygeine products, band aids, etc.
* New clothing with the tags on them, sweatshirts, sweatpants socks, bras, underwear, blankets, sheets, towels, etc.
* Books
* Toys
