None of the 2006 senate candidates will likely endorse clark or any other potential 2008 candidate for president. They will wisely focus on 2006 and not likely want to take sides in a potential primary 2008 race. If elected, I suspect they will most likely refrain from endorsing any particular candidate until the outcome becomes clear. Mark Dayton for example did not enter the 2004 fray at all until Kerry was a lock. If Clark becomes the nominee, then I suspect all democratic candidates will endorse him.
The important thing now is getting another Democrat to replace Dayton in '06, and defeating Coleman in '08. Who those people might want to endorse in the '08 presidential primary is both unknowable and irrelevant.
