Good job to the "Draft Gore" folks at today's Michigan Democratic Party convention.
I was very impressed by the "Draft Gore" showing today. They worked the congressional district caucuses and the main convention floor. People readily took their bumperstickers and buttons. Good job to the "Draft Gore" folks! Well done!

Many people asked about getting me to sign a Draft Gore petition - of course, I could only say Yes to one.

It was also nice seeing Sharon there - my first in-person encounter with a DUer since I joined 4 1/2 years ago!

Hey all! I was there too but not for very long. I sought you all out at the statue but didn't see DUers at the time. Spoke w/Bob Alexander though and signed a petition elsewhere in the hall. It was a great showing for President Gore. Lotta love for him here in MI.

Sounds like we had at least 30% of the attendees sign petitions and I know we didn't make contact with everyone. Pretty good!

6. Sharon...I remember you supported Nancy Skinner.
Do you know if she's running? Was she there yesterday at the caucus?

I forgot to find fellow du'ers yesterday though I saw lots of green and Gore supporters there.

7. She was at the convention and at the 9th district caucus
She hasn't announced anything yet, but don't be surprised if she takes another shot at it. There's word going around that Gary Peters and another couple of so-far unnamed people may also want to run for the seat. I just hope we don't need a primary.
