LTTE about Devos

I read a little thing that someone posted on the myspace Michigan Dems group. It was an article from The Michigan Citizen that I thought was really interesting and prompted me to write an LTTE that I am planning on send out to the local papers. Any input or editting points would be very helpful. Thank you

Dick Devos is not the governor that Michigan needs. His past history is enough to prove that he has a hidden neo-conservative agenda that is very similar to the failed social reforms of the Bush administration. Devos’ wife is the head of the PAC All Children Matter, which pushes the issue of school voucher programs and undermines the public education system. Dick Devos has a long history of donating money to some of the biggest right wing PAC’s in the country including the Family Research Council, Focus on the Family, and National Right to Life Committee. Betsy Devos even works as a founder of a sub-group of the National Right to Life Committee, The James Madison Institute of Free Speech. “DeVos is a diehard religious right candidate of the theocratic bent.” Dick Devos has even employed the help of GOP dirty trick artists such as Matthew Dowd, a close ally of Karl Rove and the Bush administration. In fact most of the Devos campaign staff are GOP campaign strategists that have a national reputation for running dishonest and misleading campaigns. Dick Devos and the ultra-conservative views of the far right wing are wrong for the State of Michigan.
