Donkeys braying on the radio!
All day Wednesday until Al Frankin goes on the air Thursday morning. It's pretty funny--check it out. 1310 AM in the Detroit area.

3. I laughed so hard when I heard that and almost had to pull over.
I called the station, and the nice woman told me that instead of dead air today, someone put a loop of donkeys up as a joke.

It looks like they will have the AA line-up, but keep the University of Detroit sports and NASCAR broadcasts. The NASCAR thing only runs on Sundays during the race season, and I can certainly accept that they have a fairly large audience of people on the road who listen to the races. They would be foolish to give that up.

Viva la AM 1310!

It's a good way to lure those folks in. :)

I heard Debbie Stabenow call in this morning on my way to work. Nice!

8. The sports in probably under contract
that's how it works in Seattle - our progressive talk does WSU games and Nascar, and I have to agree that it might actually attract a few Nascar people.

6. I thought the new 1310 was starting Monday
and couldn't figure out WTF was going on when I tried to find it Wednesday and heard all the braying. Finally got it Thursday a.m.
So glad they're finally here. I've switched from NPR all day at work to AAR. I'll probably do some going back and forth, but I love hearing bad things about * all day long. I'm not used to hearing such blatant talk on the radio that mirrors my thinking. I'm lovin' it!
