does anyone know anything about Bishop Keith Butler
just found this on a fundie site

Democratic Senator Debbie Stabenow of Michigan may be opposed by a leading black clergyman in 2006. Bishop Keith Butler, a former Detroit city councilman, has told members of his Word of Faith International Christian Center that he has formed an exploratory committee for a Senate campaign. Last summer, Butler joined other black ministers in Washington, where they urged Congress to support a constitutional amendment defining marriage as the union of a man and a woman. Stabenow voted against the amendment. But in the November election, Michigan voters approved a state initiative banning same-sex marriage. Other senators facing re-election in 2006 who voted against the federal marriage amendment include Democrats Mark Dayton of Minnesota and Bill Nelson of Florida.

2. Ba, just another over inflated ego
That guy from Focus on the Family said the same thing about Dayton and Nelson this weekend. That if they don't fall into line (by aligning themselves against gay marriage) then they will be replaced. I think this is just another fundie who's ego was overinflated by the reporting of November's election.
America is not run by your god assholes.
Ok, sorry about that. They just piss me off so much.

3. Here are some of Butler and his church's teachings...
Christians are little gods

Jesus did not pay for our sins on the cross

We can command God by our words

God wants us healthy and wealthy

Christians have total control over their environment by the words that we speak, if we speak sickness and poverty we will be sick and broke. Conversely, if Christians speak blessings and healing we will be healthy and wealthy.

He (Jesus) went to hell in our place.
