AFL-CIO Endorses Virg Bernero for Governor

Today, March 12, 2010, the Michigan AFL-CIO, with the support of AFT Michigan, endorsed Virg Bernero for Governor of Michigan. Virg Bernero is currently Mayor of Lansing and is a former state legislator. “Virg will fight hard for the working women and men of this state and we are proud to support him,” stated AFT Michigan President David Hecker. Seems like it's "anybody but Bernero" as far
as the PARTY is concerned.

Today on OTR, they claimed that the party was
begging CHERRY to reconsider.

They REALLY don't like Bernero.

Which only makes me like him more!

Petitions are available (he needs signatures)

Virg reminds me of an old-school Democrat - pre-DLC. A man of the people.

5. Until the DLC is put out of bidness, good Dems won't have a chance.
I have stepped back from this stuff for awhile. This is partly for personal reasons; partly because of my frustrations over the condition of our state party. However, if Virg gets by the primary, I will get back into the fray. Virg is da man!
