Well.. I guess I'm now a member of the "club" -- one of my Obama/Biden signs was stolen last night.

:grr:

I had 4 signs out front ... all in a row. Obama/Biden -- Peters -- Levin -- Obama/Biden. The Obama/Biden furthest from the porch light was stolen.

Despicable thieving cowards! :grr:

1. Made a police report. Nice cop. Nice chat.
I have no illusions, of course.

2. When I was at the OCDP office yesterday
a woman from Huntington Woods came in and said four signs were stolen from her street, Dundee, and a few were stolen from Ivanhoe. I thought my neighborhood was safe from this stuff, what with so many Obama supporters and so few for McCain, but I guess not (unless people are stealing them to sell). People are obviously coming in from outside of The Woods to do this.

If you bought your sign at OCDP, we're replacing them for people at no cost if theirs are stolen.

3. I had to get them (via my nephew) from the Bloomfield Hills campaign office.
At the time, there weren't any available any closer. (sigh) Now I'll have to go get more. :grr:

I've been to the Clawson campaign office several times. No Obama signs, but they gave me the Levin and Peters signs. (I made a donation to cover the cost plus a little.)

4. MSNBC showed a video of a woman driving a SUV stealing Obama signs
The video was from a woman that got fed up with having her Obama signs being constantly stolen, so she taped the culprit.

7. So far so good on mine. I'm waiting for Halloween, though.
I have 4 signs in row, too. :) Obama - Peters - Jane Boudreau - Lisa Brown

8. Good point about Halloween.
We don't get a lot of traffic on our street, so I'm not planning to give out candy. It's just not worth it for the 10 or so kids we used to get (we're on a dead end with houses on only one side of the street).

I might bring my signs in for the night -- all six of them: Obama, Sheila Smith, Carl Levin, Vote Yes on 2, Brenda Lawrence, Andy Meisner.

9. I wanted to festoon my yard with all Dem signs
But it didn't work out this year.

Ah well, maybe I'll get the whole ticket for 2010.

I live in Dexter.

Idiots. Do they really think stealing signs is going to keep people from voting for Obama?

Little do they know I have another one to replace it PLUS one for Pam Byrnes and Mark Schauer!

Joke's on them!

12. Same thing
Saturday night, Bloomfield Twp. They left the Peters signs, which seems consistent with other lawns I've driven by lately that seem to be missing Obama signs that were there. Repugs like to steal, what can I say?

Of course, we replaced the sign yesterday.

13. To paraphrase Gandhi: First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they steal your yard signs
and then you win!"
