I'd love it if these folks could present this
on Cape- and Cape Codders for Peace and Justice

I'm very proud to say that my state Rep. Matt Patrick
is quite knowledgable on DU!

5. The presentation last night was very good.
About 35 ~ 40 people came to the presentation; our room was about 2/3 full.

Jack started with the basics of uranium, the basics of DU munitions, and the physics of using uranium weapons.

Gretel told us of a number of studies and testing that is underway. It appears that the ceramic radioactive cloud produced when these weapons are used have never been seen (in nature) before. Our government refuses to answer questions or investigate the issue.

Michael mentioned that there are three bills in the House that are bottled up in committee and will most likely never see the light of day. There is a current bill in the Mass legislature, HB 4591 that requires the Mass NG to begin tracking MNG soldiers who have may have been exposed to DU (aka radiation poisoning.)

The presentation was created by Concord Grassroots Actions for Peace. I don't know what the plans are for taking this presentation on a road show.
