Anyone else feel WBCN has turned mediocre since Oedipus left ?
It's happened slowly, but now I just don't enjoy leaving it on outside of listening to Stern, and maybe if Adam-12 has a good theme "lunch", but that's about it. You can't go more than a few songs without them playing somehting ultra tired or just mediocre like the same Ozzy, AC/DC, or Guns'n'Roses songs. None of which I'm that big a fan of. They're still a good radio station, but I just thought it was so much better back in the Oedipus days, particularly with Nik Carter.

I find myself enjoying WFNX much more now. And once Stern leaves BCN, I might not ever have a reason to turn to it.

1. It has always been mediocre in my opinion
Outside of Stern I hardly ever listen to it. I usually listen to FNX, ERS or ZBC for tunes in my car, but that's only when they are talking about something boring on NPR, which is hardly ever for me.

2. Charles Laquardara had the best skits and music back in the day
BCN today is not the BCN I once knew.

4. Thank Goodness! I was wondering if anyone remembered
Chuck and the "Big Mattress"! Some of his skits were absolute laugh riots.

5. Yup. And remember his alter ego, Duane Glasscock?
He got away with lots of shit using that persona.
