Bombtrack, your reasoning is very sound, except for one thing. ESPN does not give us here in Boston the entire Red Sox game. I checked it out. Yup. They don't. Instead, ESPN cuts off the Red Sox game and goes to another baseball game, or worse, some other sport entirely. Then ESPN cuts back to the Red Sox game. This sucks. As a Red Sox fan, I empathize with you; however, you may still view your program later in the evening. On the other hand, who the hell wants to watch a baseball game AFTER its been played and the results are announced all over the spectrum of television and radio channels; that is, if it could be viewed after the fact.

It's unfortunate that FOX or UPN didn't pick up the after-season Red Sox games. Or even NESN where it really belongs! So we are stuck with WCVB-TV, Channel 5. Red Sox fans don't like it either because we'd rather have the usual guys announce not these guys on ABC.
