Delehunts' Town Meeting Sat 6/18 on Cape Cod (photo's galore)
Cape Cod chapter United for Peace and Justice had not so subtly convinced Representative Bill Delahunt D-Ma -by holding vigil outside of his office in Hyannis every Friday this year since April, to have a town hall meeting focused on the Illegal war in Iraq.

And wow did Mr. Delehunt respond. He had two vey amazing knowledgable guests that had his back! Both very entertaining. More on that later. Also Thumbs up for Mr D as he voted against the Iraq war and signed on to John Conyors petition very quickly.

However, just wanted to share some photos from the day. Standing outside of the Morse Pnd School in Falmouth, I'm feeling the tide changing. Many positive honks, waves, thumbs up, with less and less verbal hostility and derelict hand gestures noted. The masses are becoming very disenchanted with 'our dear leader'

All the folks here today against the war were amazing, the stories fascinating, some sad, however I felt great hope from the group.
Enjoy

4. Nice story and thanks for the pics.
What you are seeing is a groundswell of truth. I've seen other references on DU talking about the "truth tsunami." This gathering of Patriots is beginning of that tsunami.

We must not be silent; we must speak out.

6. A question and a comment
1. Is that Noam Chomsky in the last photo?

2. Appears all were at least 45 years old. Thanks for being active, BUT WHERE THE HELL IS THE YOUNGER GENERATION?

7. There is no younger generation out here
Seriously, we are losing young people on a daily basis.

8. You are right- however...
My kids and their friends have told me they would participate
in some of this stuff, if they had sufficient notice- to get time off from work.

My son Cory has gone to a few things w/ me. The election fraud
protest in Boston Commons last winter, also a move-on meeting.
His political conversations are far more articulate then mine.
His friends have told me they will hit rte 28 w/me. Also his band
said they will donate their time to play during LaborDay weekend for a group bon voyage to the tourists, party. His friends are always engaged in intelligent converstation regarding political issues whenever I bring them up. I have hope.

Cory and Ned met Sidewalk Sam last Friday in Boston (Sam felt right off the bat that these two kids were deeper than your average) He also picked up quite quickly that the two were artists. He encouraged them as artists to put forward their beliefs and get their message out. It was very inspiring for them. Grabbed a few good photos of that meeting, and if the boys agree, I'll share them on this site.
