The tide of public opinion in MA has turned positive on same-sex marriage. The good citizens of the Commonwealth have noticed that the sky has not fallen in the last year, while gay couples have been brazenly saying "I Do". Straight marriages have been completely unaffected. It's mostly just the wingnuts that are still uptight about it.

6. I don't see it coming up for a vote again
I don't think the proposed amendment will even come up for a vote in the current legislative session. Mass. pols are always checking which way the wind is blowing. And I think the current wind direction is blowing an amendment off the agenda.
