E- Update
March 2005

Embracing a new vision for Brockton, I am continually earning the support and trust of community leaders, educators, young citizens, and local business owners -- everyday people who have been inspired to participate because they believe in our campaign.

With nine months until the election in November, we've already laid a sound foundation for victory. We have a strong message that resonates with the concerns of everyday Brocktonians. We are constructing a solid organization to ensure everyone's concerns are accounted for and that our collective message reaches every voter.

Yet, with the incumbent mayor deciding not to seek reelection, the city's conservative political establishment has decided to back a 16-year veteran of the city council, an individual who has a long history of being complacent and unresponsive to the needs of Brockton's residents. Now, more than ever, I need your most generous contribution to change the course of affairs in Brockton.

I believe in Brockton -- in its people, their voice, and their potential -- and I know the city is ready for a change. My objective is a safer, healthier, and more vibrant Brockton for everyone. Your support is crucial in bringing our community closer to achieving this goal.
With warm regards,

Jass Stewart

Campaign asks: "How do you identify an effective leader?"

Jass Stewart hits the local airwaves

Jass Stewart recently appeared on one of Brockton's most popular talk radio programs, WBET's Newsline with Ron Van Dam. He was able to reach over 60,000 listeners about our plans for accountability, jobs, education, crime, and ownership. >Listen to the interview online.

Campaign asks: "How do you identify an effective leader?"
What do you think? Like any job, politicians should be graded on their performance, not solely on their rhetoric. A strong political leader reaches out to the community and addresses the concerns of all residents. Therefore, knowing who your local elected official is (particularly if he/she has been in office for several terms) and being able to list what he/she has done for you and your family are important ways to identify an effective leader. Do you agree with this statement?

>Please take our poll.

Each month, JassStewart.com will feature a "What do you think?" question to help us keep in touch with your concerns. Please email your questions to questions@JassStewart.com.
