Low-ticket unity rally & fundraiser for Kerry in Watertown May 23
I'm hoping a lot of local DUers can come to this. It's on Sunday, May 23, 3-6 pm. Minimum donation is low, $10.00, so it can be more inclusive. (Of course they'd welcome (and I'm sure prefer) larger donations from those who are able.) I'm sure there will be opportunity to hook up with folks from the campaign for those interested in volunteering. Keynote speaker is Ed Markey. Co-chair of the Massschusetts for Kerry Campaign, MarDee Xifaris is also speaking. Tom Reilly will be there, and I'm not sure who else.

It is at the Hellenic Cultural Center, 25 Bigelow Ave, Watertown (just off of Route 16, Mt. Auburn St.--easy to get to). It is sponsored by a number of local Dems and local Democratic Town Committees.

I think this is a good opportunity to support Kerry and hook up with others of like mind. Since this state is obviously not a priority for his campaign (since he doesn't have to win us over), I'm guessing that there may not be that many Kerry events here (besides high-ticket fundraisers). Let's get a group of local DUers there.

(And if anyone is interested, I can email you a copy of the flyer, a Word document.)

3. Hey Sniffa, are you planning to go?

I'm definitely planning on it. Hoping some DUers will be there, but so far it doesn't look like anyone's reading my thread. :-( I'm PMing some of the local folks today in case they didn't see the thread (although some folks may be out of town anyway).

Let me know if you're going to be there. I apologize that I don't remember your real (non-user) name, although I do remember you telling me when I met you at the People's Republik. (Nice meeting you, BTW.)

edited to take out my real name; I thought I was PMing this message; I'll do that too in case you don't get back to this thread.
