Blue State Slander: Mass. is the butt of Bush's jokes
Thanks to baltodemvet's original thread:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=104x2539861

I thought this was appropriate for our state forum:

http://gadflyer.com/articles/?ArticleID=247

<snip>
And now George W. Bush has gone on the offensive against the Bay State. To hear him tell it, Massachusetts is not a state now on its fourth Republican governor in a row or one with one of the lowest tax burdens in the country, as the Boston Globe recently reported, but some sort of Sodom on the Bay, with 90% tax rates, mandatory Wicca ceremonies in public schools, and an anarcho-syndicalist majority in the state legislature. How could "real" Americans be expected to accept a candidate from such a place?

1. Bush is not a divider, Bush is a uniter, all of Mass voters will....
...unite to give Kerry a three to one lead over Bush next Tuesday.

9. I laugh at those people
Especially the ones with "So glad I voted for Bush." Uh, dude...your Bush vote didn't mean a damn thing.

3. Shouldn't the president of THE FUCKING UNITED STATES
try to avoid making fun of a state that he presides over? Gee, ya think some media folks might mention this on their cute little news shows.

4. Our Main Problem is Fascist Governor Mitt Romney
He's a Bush parasitic twin. Sucks big time.

6. Romney will suckle wherever and whomever takes him
to the White House, for it is there that Romney has set his eye. And he's dumb enough to do it for all to see quite blatantly, cute coife, lovely whitened teeth, gleaming smile, and multi-million dollar wallet.

Who else is Mittens going to step on and over in order to get to his prize?

5. Excellent article at gadflyer.com, RationalRose . . .
and there have been several recent DU Massachusetts threads re Dumbya/rightwinger bashing/flaming Massachusetts:

1.) http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=158x1069

2.) http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=158x1092

3.) http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=158x1234

4.) http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=158x1286

The hypocrisy of it all -- when the flaming and rants and such come from the Bushies -- is that they have long family histories back to the colonial times here in Massachusetts! But that "y'all" phony Texas hype coming from them seems to *sell* to the uninitiated and sloven thinkers across America including the American press corps. It certainly does not fool us blue-staters, or those outside America including our neighbors to the north in Canada, and across Europe and beyond.

Tis they who are isolated and becoming more isolated in their dance worshiping ignorance and worldly unsophistication, not us as we continue to embrace mainstream modern world thinking, inclusion and actions. They are fringe, not us.

. . . . . . . . . .

8. Phillips Andover is where the rich aristocracy from around the world
goes to school. Bush spent his formative years in Midland TX public schools. He went to high school with other rich brats at an exclusive boarding school, and then went to college at Yale. Don't try to say Shrub is from New England. His father definitely is, Shrub is not.

14. Shrub is from New England, I regret
From his official bio at the White House web site: "President Bush was born on July 6, 1946, in New Haven, Connecticut."

By the way if any MA dems are free from 2 to 5 tomorrow we need someone to hold a sign at the town hall in heavily Repuke Dover during those hours.

11. I think the South has a massive inferiority complex
Not too surprising since the last time they really took on the North they got their asses whipped. Maybe they're still upset over the freeing of the slaves.

12. MASSACHUSETTS WHERE AMERICAN GREATNESS & POWER COMES FROM
NOT SOME HALFASS CHICKENHAWK FROM TEXAS. THE TECHNOLOGICAL PROWESS OF THIS COUNTRY AND ITS INDUSTRIAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL MIGHT ORIGINATES FROM PLACES LIKE MIT, HARVARD; THE ROUTE 128 BELT NEAR BOSTON, ALONG WITH SILICON VALLEY IN CA.

AS FOR BEING LIBERALS, WHEN MASSACHUSETTS ACTUALLY WENT TO WAR AGAINST THESE CONS FROM THE SOUTHERN CONFEDERACY, WE CONQUERED THEIR ASS.
