Call Hannaford Supermarkets at 800-213-9040. Tell them you will no longer shop at Hannaford if they do not pull their advertising revenue from Sinclair Broadcasting stations. (See:

1. I emailed them
at consumerinfo@hannaford.com

Sent them a polite letter informing them that I & my family will not be customers as long as they advertise on Sinclair stations.

Their prices aren't that great, anyway, but they sure are close to my house.

Nice photo essay, BTW.

2. Make sure to tell them that you have family in NH or Maine

that shop there often and agree with you (if you are outside the general area). They only have stores in those areas and are (pretty much) the only choice for larger chain type grocery stores. But there are plenty of mom * pop stores there that would love to have your business if they choose not to pull their advertising.

They think they can be stubborn because the have a large monopoly on the area. Make sure they know that they will be the loser in this if they don't.

edited to add -- Iams Pet Food is owned by Proctor and Gamble. They are usually VERY sensitive to consumer issues. Perhaps contactlng them directly could effect a change of heart for Iams?
