Local girl makes good .... LOTS of film at eleven ........
I am so damned proud to be a Marylander and a Baltimorean today.

What pure joy to watch the goings on in DC today ..... Nancy Pelosi, her older brother .... mention of her Dad ...... Babs in the audience, sitting next to Elijah ..... DAMN!

A truly historic day.

1. You might not like him but
you didn't mention that Steny Hoyer, the majority whip is ALSO from Maryland. Looks like Maryland took the prize.

2. Actually, I intentionally left him out ......
.... after all, my 'headline' was "Local **girl** makes good" and the local girl was surrounded by her peeps. I have no quarrel whatsoever with Hoyer.

7. Yes, he deserves to be more visible as well!
Not taking a thing away from Nancy Pelosi, but I love to see Van Hollen gaining a little more recognition.

5. Nice to see Cardin sworn in as the next US Senator
First thing he did - introduce legislation that would allow the Government to negotiate px drug costs with big pharma.
