Saw Doug Duncan Last Night
He spoke at my local Dem club meeting. He was well received and presented himself well. This is the first time I have ever seen him and my impression is he would be a good candidate for Guv. He speaks to important issues, with education being his primary focus. He has specific plans for improving education, though that specificity was lacking regarding other important issues such as health care afford-ability.

I am glad to have seen him and heard him, it is important, should he be the nominee, that we have someone we can wholeheartedly support not just someone to run against.

That being said, I still think he should focus his campaign on what HE can do and stay away from bashing fellow democrat Martin O'Malley. Bash Erlich, please. Democrats should not go negative in the primary. This applies to O'Malley, but he has not gone negative against Duncan and claims that he will not do so.

Me, Im still undecided in the primary. At first I was leaning Duncan, then O'Malley. Now Im back to leaning Duncan, but Im still open to giving O'Malley another look. Both have are their strong points and weak points. Bottom line, I want Ehrlich out and a Democrat in who will move the state forward rather than leaving us stalled in neutral.

2. I think Duncan would be a better manager, which is needed.
I live in Baltimore and see O'Malley as more of a cheer leader. He has plenty of style, but is short on substance. Duncan has more depth, and comes across as more competent. Both are important qualities in a governor, and Maryland is not really in need of a cheerleader. At any rate, either one could beat Ehrlich.
