Need info on Permits for Rally in DC, & Other info

I'm trying to get in contact with folks who have done this before-
Looking to organize rally in Dc-- Maybe at the MALL. Certainly not Lafayette Park, too small

1. Permits are granted by

National Park Service and DC Metro police.

2. Ok-- so the "Mall" woulf under purview of the Park Service

3. I would imagine so,

but I would still check w/ DC police. Even if you don't need a DC police permit for a federal area (not sure on this), you would undoubtedly get useful information on all rules/regs for conducting a rally in the District.

for DC police, permits are handled by the Special Operations Unit on 23rd and L, NW. Ph:202-727-4641
