Who remembers Valentine's Weekend 2003?
Edited on Sun Jun-19-05 10:38 AM by mutley_r_us
This shot is a little blurry because it's a picture of a picture. But this is my street in Baltimore on the second day of the storm.

Anyone have good stories to share about that storm?

3. Fells Point area?
By the diversity of the rowhouses it looks like Fells Point or parts of Canton.

4. It's actually Federal Hill
or more specifically, "Sobo," the area just south of Fort Ave.

5. That's very close to where my son lives ... in a house we own
Maybe 3 blocks south of Fort and just west of Hanover.

7. Oh yes, i remember it well....
We wound up postponing our son's first birthday party (not a big deal, since it was only family) because of that storm. Plus, after the people who come to plow our driveway (we live off a LONG driveway) failed to show up for the entire length of the blizzard, and we missed a week off of work, we went out and bought a snow blower.

Good times. :-)

8. My birthday was the day after the storm......
I was supposed to go to a concert in Wilmington on the 18th so I spent my birthday trying to dig my car out of two feet of snow. LOL (Needless to say the show was canceled, but I was NOT going to miss it just in case)

11. Remember it well...
we have similar pictures. This snowstorm was just before we moved back to my home state of Ohio. We were living in, no kidding, Paradise, MD. It's a hiccup between Baltimore City and Catonsville. I didn't believe it either, till I saw the sign.

Anyway, we lived in a town home, and first, the place hired a snow plow to come through the parking lot. He stopped short, after plowing his cousins house. He plowed the other 6 houses in. Then, we had a group of Middle Eastern guys who lived next door and had never seen this kind of snow. They came out to clear their car with the little ice scrapers you get for free at the fair or for $1 at the gas station. We all laughed and then helped out. It was a good way to meet the neighbors.

12. lol, I know where Paradise is!
I have a friend who lives near there. It was a good way to meet neighbors. The city didn't plow our road so a bunch of people in the neighborhood came out and shoveled the street. It was fun!

14. Heehee.
Well, it was fun because with all the people out goofing around, throwing snowballs at each other, helping the kids make snowmen and snow angels; yeah it was fun. It brought everyone on this street together. Before that I had never done more than smiled and said 'Hi' to any of these people.
