MD-3
With Cardin set to announce his run for U.S. Senate.

Here are some of the potential candidates who might run for his Congressional seat.

Del. Jon S. Cardin
Del. Maggie L. McIntosh
Del. Bobby A. Zirkin
State Sen. Paula C. Hollinger
Anne Arundel County Executive Janet S. Owens.

Who do you guy's like? Who would be the favorite in the primary?

3. Zirkin seems to be super popular in my neck of the woods...
Cardin and Paula less so. A lot of people I know dislike her immensely.

Can I ask why you don't like Zirkin?

Thanks,
Debbi

4. He's an arrogant piece of crap
I've known him for over 10 years. He's incredibly arrogant, he treats women horribly and thinks he's god's gift to the world. It would be really horrible if he made it to Congress. We can do so much better.

2. I'd be surprised if Paula runs
I don't know, I like Paula a lot, but I don't think she would want to go from her place where she's well-known and has a lot of power and then suddenly be a freshman in the minority party of a bigger body. That said, I think she would not have a hard time winning that race if she did run. I know I'd vote for her in a primary, but I would be very surprised if she ran for that seat.

I would be surprised if Jon Cardin and Zirkin don't run. I think they both wanted the 11th district Senate seat anyway, 3rd district in US Congress would probably be a huge upgrade. I don't think either of them could pass that chance up. And they were going to run against one another anyway. I like Jon better of the two of them - not just because of the name, but I've met them both and he's just a nicer guy.

I live in the 11th district so I know much more about Hollinger, Cardin, and Zirkin. The other two are just names to me at this point in time.

5. Cardin's name is more popular
Any suggestions to looking more into these folks for the right decision?

And, it would be nice if we kept one another informed in this area before voting time, so we're all on the same page.

We're not a big group in this area (Maryland Forum) and I wonder why? There are plenty of Dems in Maryland.

I'm also ticked about losing paper ballots!

8. Quinter
From Roll Call (subscription only):
