Volunteering for the Obama Campaign
Although I am no longer a resident of Maine, I do spend summers here. On Monday I went to Augusta to the Maine Democratic Headquarters to see what I could do to help with Obama's campaign. They were just setting up and said they will be opening field offices in many towns in Maine. I asked if there would be anything in Waterville. Well today they called me and asked if I could help with canvassing in Waterville on June 21st. Of course I said yes.

If any of you have the time and want to help, your help would be most appreciated. Their website is www.mainedems.org and you can call 207-772-4353 for the office nearest you. The brochure says they want to make sure that every Democrat and Independent in Maine knows the truth because that is the only way to undo the damage in Washington done by the bush administration. We all need to work together for Victory in 2008. I'm looking forward to doing what I can do to see that Obama will be elected in November, I hope you will help too.

1. Field office is open in Bath
It is right across from Brackett's Market (IGA). If there is anything that you would like to do to volunteer such as phone bank, canvass, data entry, bake goods for the office workers, work in the office, etc. just stop by or call (I can get the number PM me). They also have a list of some supplies they are in need of (I know they need computers). I met the person that was hired to be the state director (I don't know if I got that title right) for Obama last night. He is from Brunswick and a really nice guy. He said more people are coming to work from the Obama campaign in the next two weeks.
