Looks like the stocking of turkey has been one of Maine's success stories. they seem to be everywhere now. I travel mostly from Bristol to Bridgton but at least monthly Lincoln to Kittery and see turkey along the way. I read somewhere that we have as many as in the 1700's! this should help the sporting camps in the spring and fall.
won't give name but nick name was hopper;he passed away few years back was on front page of pph on veterans day quite often.he was at pearl harbor dec 7 . when the Japanese attacked. very much missed!
3. I never saw a turkey until maybe 5 years ago...now, they are everywhere.
Have a few that appear in the back yard on occasion. Had one fly across my car, going up the drive way...hate to hit one of those birds at highway speeds....
well ya know all of them don't. and most of us have our form of finding out the news. but I suppose others feel its their need to spread it. I'll try not to stoop but really who appointed you head know it all.The only fact finder on earth? here's one for ya. did you see Sen. leahy and mr Gates bit on Iraq and Iran war. how we played both sides and the middle so neither would win? Kind of makes you wonder who is spending your tax dollars. and who is running the country? and is there more stories like this that come out 10-20 years later? this may help explain why americans are so hated. and why was it so necessary to have Cheney and Rumsfeld leading the war effort? are we hiding something? Is that how Omar Bin Laden ties in? are the dinosaurs cleaning up loose ends well you succeeded again personal attacks and cry fowl if I respond!(note the jest) oops. thats right you have no sense of humor- foul- your only feat is cut and paste. perhaps your response could be intelligent for a change. perhaps you shouldn't attack the messenger if you feel you deserve a pass with your post. I don't think i ever loaded up a room with day old news clips like you have. but then in your mind only you have the right to complain. gobble gobble!
