Free cloth shopping bags (?)
Don't know if this is going on everywhere, but our local Hannaford (always will be shop n' save to me) is giving out *free* cloth shopping bags if you buy any one nature's place brand product. We bought a $2 piece of cheese and got one. It's a nice bag too.

I presume this is some sort of promotion in conjunction with the State's push to promote reusable shopping bags.

Anyways, just a heads up on some possible good free stuff.

;)

4. Purple plastic here.
Matches the red and blue bags I already have. I pointed out the tear in
the obviously quite new red bag in hopes of getting two but had no luck.
I didn't have to buy any special product and only spotted the giveaway
as I was leaving the store.

(A "feel good day" I am opposed to Earth Day as it is promoted.
Every day is Earth Day!)

5. "Every day is Earth Day"
The Mrs said "Happy Earth day honey" to me. I replied "Every day is Earth day".
That earned me a (good natured) dirty look.

6. we carry in our vehicle

since we travel a good deal in the state we carry a cooler, several paper bags, two cool bags and four cloth bags with us.(and a blanket)
we find that b.j.'s and sam's 90% hamburg is a bargain at $2.29 per lb. also the chicken tenders, cheeses, milk, half and half paper cups etc. we have found the best steak sales at food city. we get some good buys for seafood in season from their local farmers market or roadside. during the summer many times fresh vegetables are a bargain at roadside stands.
these cloth bags often come in handy.
we store these bags in a small storage box in the rear of our suv. it prevents damage and
saves space.
