Maine vodka named best in nation

FREEPORT - Cold River Vodka, a triple-distilled small batch vodka made from Maine potatoes, has been rated the best domestic vodka and 47th among the world's top 111 spirits in "Kindred Spirits 2" by F. Paul Pacult.

Pacult is a wine, beer and spirits journalist, author, educator and consultant. He is publisher and editor of F. Paul Pacult's Spirit Journal, special projects editor for the New York Times and spirits tasting director for the Wine Enthusiast.

2. Have you ever tried this

chill the vodka in a freezer for at least an hour,then serve with ice water. about half and half. smooth and potent. a friend of mine introduced me to this years ago.
we watched a REd SOX VS YANKEE GAME. I had two drinks thought I was fine till I tried to get off the couch. ha ha they are smooth and sneaky.

4. Cold River is good but...

if you like straight shots (or drink vodka at all) you should try Twenty 2 Vodka just released in September. Made in Houlton and only available in Maine right now. It is extremely smooth and an amazing product.

It's also got a good price!
