Waldoboro officer kills Whitefield man
WALDOBORO (Sep 23): A Waldoboro police officer shot and killed an 18-year-old male early Sunday morning following a traffic stop, according to published reports.

Brian MacMaster, director of investigations for the Maine Attorney General's Office, is investigating the incident, and State Police detectives are assisting him.

According to news reports, Waldoboro Officer Zach Curtis stopped a car in which Gregori Jackson of Whitefield was riding early Sunday morning. A chase into the woods was followed by a fight, according to reports, and Jackson was fatally shot.
