1. Bring it to Beautiful Bangor and I'm in!
Unless somebody wants to drive me down. I think we Mainers should get together somehow, somewhere.

3. Hi Maine-ah!
How's it going! And how DARE you speak disparagingly of this vibrant city, center of so much innovation and culture. :P

Rockland would be good too! :hi:

7. I dunno why I do this to myself.....
Camden if you're from away. Rockland if you're a true Maine-ah...

Here's what National Geographic has to say about us...

"Rockland is a destination that qualifies as one of the best 50 towns in which to live and play in the United States"

http://knox.villagesoup.com/Community/story.cfm?StoryID=97876

hm, don't see Camden on the list....

5. beautiful bangor?

Sure has changed since the fifties, miss swinging in and talking baseball and fishing with
"bud".
you've done wonders with the grandstand at bass park. I didn't see doug the last time we were their but hope to the end of the month.
spent a lot of my youth in your area, was laying out a runway ext.
the day the tanker crashed.
In the sixties I laid out the dot garage,BURKE was the foreman who ran it.
I like to think we helped to bring that city forward.
much like the rockland area!

6. I'm sort of kidding about Bangor being "beautiful."
I'm stuck here so I'm trying to make the best of it! I've been in the area for about sixteen years and I think it's improved a bit. I'd still rather be living in Portland, either Maine or Oregon, but them's the breaks. :)

9. No one wants to go to Bangor, not even for the bagels.
:P

There really ought to be a Maine DU meetup at some point, but without teleporters, I just don't see most of us wanting to travel the three hours it takes to get anywhere in this state.

That's why the meetup should be in Portland.

So I don't have to drive.

:D

11. Wretched man.
People should want to come to Bangor to meet ME, not to eat bagels. And listen, you don't want me driving in the big city. You just don't.

Hi, mainegreen! :hi:

12. But the Folk Festival is good
I actually like Bangor. It has the closest Target, too.

8. Yes, that would be fun! We'll be staying at Camp Casey.
There will be two of us. My friend doesn't post on DU, but I'm sure she'd like to meet up also.
