just heard this on mis-info central

This has to be the worst mis-info statement of the year. THE OIL COMPANIES MAKE APPROX. $.O8 CENTS A GALLON ON GASOLINE. AND THE GOVERNMENT MAKES WELL OVER A DOLLAR
AND DOES NOTHING FOR IT.
NOW I WON'T GET PERSONNEL BUT TWO OF THE MOST OUT SPOKEN RIGHT WINGERS IN THIS STATE
WERE LIVE ON T.V AND RADIO AND SINCE THE ONE LISTENING DIDN'T CORRECT HIM I ASSUME HE BELIEVED THIS.
LETS ANALYZE THIS MIS-STATEMENT.
A, FILLING STA,. ON AN AVERAGE MAKE .12CENTS PER GALLON
B, THE TAX BREAKS OIL COMPANIES GET =.40CENTS A GAL.
C, WHO BUILDS THE ROADS -SURELY NOT THE OIL COMPANIES
HOW CAN WE CORRECT THIS MIS-INFORMATION-SIMPLE PUT A FREEZE ON GAS PRICES AND MAKE OIL COMPANIES BUILD AND MAINTAIN OUR HIGHWAYS
THE FIGURES EXXON-MOBILE SHOWED FOR PROFIT LAST QUARTER WAS A LIE-IT MUST OF BEEN THE WORK OF THEM LIBERALS -EH RAY.
WHAT A PHONY!
C'MON USE FACTS NOT FICTION!

1. think this one out

With out the highways there would be little market for gasoline. who created the highways and why?
I believe that anyone who claims to be an authority on gasoline taxes should be knowledgeable about who builds and maintains the highway system. I also believe that
no one would dig those holes(wells) or gamble on getting into the market if there was no demand or profit(and exxon-mobile certainly proves my case)
I also believe that the tax on fuel alone is no longer enough to build and maintain
the highway systems. hence the bond issue.
I also believe that if you know this and have stated it in the past publicly you are out of line! and in that case you should be made to correct your erroneous statements.
I personally think the working man is really feeling the pinch. I know the retired and fixed income are. so mis-information is not going to solve anything but may in fact
delay a solution.
