http://kennebecjournal.mainetoday.com/news/local/3791388.htmlHolman, a Republican, was elected to the House of Representatives in November after facing competition in both the primary and the general election. She represented District 83, which included the towns of Belgrade, Fayette, Manchester, Mount Vernon and Vienna.
Holman had lost her husband, Andrew Weegar, in a tragic tractor accident two years ago at the family's North Road farm. Police determined Weegar, 41, died after being trapped under the tractor's tire for a day.
She recently was engaged to marry Dr. Jeffrey Timm of Manchester, a dentist, and the ceremony was scheduled for June....."She was doing a terrific job of juggling being a mother, being in the Legislature and starting working with us," Roger Katz, a partner with the firm, said Saturday night. "She was very, very happy. It's just beyond tragic."...Julie O'Brien, executive director of the Maine Republican Party, called Holman "an incredibly intelligent, incredibly talented individual. Her husband was called a Renaissance man. I guess I would call her a Renaissance woman."
O'Brien said Holman was one of the more moderate members of the Republican Party....
On Edit--her late husband was an environmentalist. You can see photos of him and her at this site:
