ALLEN VERSUS COLLINS
Edited on Tue Mar-27-07 12:00 PM by luckyleftyme2
THIS should be a very good race for the us senate seat. I personally have voted for both in the past.
This time along with many other maine democrats and independents I will no longer
waste a vote for a republican candidate. I know i'm not alone in feeling this way.our
state republican party seems to have lost its leadership, its sense of responsibility
to the public and chosen the path of destructive obstructionist. we all know two heads are better than one;and compromise is an effective way to solve the impossible.
on an unscientific note: I BASE THIS ON THE PREVIOUS 2 ELECTIONS AND THEIR RESULTS.

IF A CERTAIN PERSON MAKES A PREDICTION YOUR 90% RIGHT IF YOU USE YOUR OWN!(U KNOW WHO UR)HA HA H20-OK GUV,YEA TABOR ETC ETC ETC LMAO
INDEPENDENT=70% FOR ALLEN INDEPENDENT=30% FOR COLLINS
REPUBLICANS=17% FOR ALLEN REPUBLICANS=83% FOR COLLINS
DEMOCRATS =80% FOR ALLEN DEMOCRATS = 20%

GO TOM DO US PROUD!

1. I hope you represent other liberals who have voted for Collins
in the past - and I knew quite a few of them. It's time to escort her out of the Senate.

2. For this I take Lucky off Ignore?
In the earlier thread the discussion seemed to focus on the idea that Collins can't be beat if the decision stays local, IOW if people vote for the person rather than the party. If we can tie Collins to the larger national debate over which party is the better leader, then Allen has a chance. But that higher level debate traditionally hasn't done well in Maine, where almost all of us either know or know someone who knows the candidates personally. Both Collins and Snowe throw some serious weight in the Senate just by standing in the middle and acting as swing votes with other moderates. Besides, Collins can fire back by portraying Tom as being too liberal for Maine to send to the Senate.

As much as I would like to think Lucky's predictions are accurate, it will be a very tough race, and not one single vote should be taken for granted.

3. is this the same shorebound that said tabor would pass

UN-LIKE YOU SHOREBOUND I'LL MAKE A PREDICTION. I THINK MAINE IS DISGUSTED WITH THE
BUSH ADMINISTRATION. AND LIKE I SAID I'VE VOTED FOR COLLINS IN THE PASS. BUT NOT THIS TIME.SHE PUT HER PARTY AHEAD OF THE COUNTRY ONE TIME TO MANY.
THREE TIMES LAST YEAR SHE VOTED FOR THE PARTY WHEN EVEN SNOW WOULDN'T.
AND I'M POSITIVE THIS WILL BE BROUGHT OUT. ALLEN IS FOR THE WORKER,HE WAS AGAINST THE WAR,AND HE'S FOR HEALTH CARE INSURANCE RELIEF. BUT MORE THAN THAT I LIKE HIM.
AND SO DO MANY MAINERS. I WOULDN'T BE SURPRISE TO SEE COLLINS TAKE ANOTHER POSITION
AND NOT EVEN RUN.
I PUT MY FAITH IN THE MAINE PEOPLE AND THEY WANT CHANGE.
