LA-Gov: Jindal (R) accused of being anti-Protestant

(I posted this in GD-P, but figured I'd cross-post it over here, too. Sorry if y'all already know about all this!)

Apologies if this has already been posted, but this was the first I've heard of it.

It will be interesting to see if these comments will hurt Jindal with the voters in the more Protestant (and more Republican) parts of the state he is probably taking for granted. It's good to see Jindal actually getting some negative attention; from what I've seen of him, he has always rubbed me as one of the most insincere, sanctimonious politicians I've ever seen- and think of all the competition he has for that honor within his own party!

The ad references articles Jindal wrote for New Oxford Review, a Roman Catholic magazine, during the 1990s before he was a congressman. Vezinot, the Democratic Party spokeswoman, said the religion ad is running in the Alexandria, Monroe and Shreveport TV markets — areas of the state that are more heavily Protestant than south Louisiana.>>>>>
