Do you think it's possible?

For us to take back the state house and senate in Kansas? If memory server correct in the house there are around 80 Republicans vs. our 40 or so Democrats. In the Senate it's 30 Republicans vs 10 Democrats. I know we made some gains last election, about 4 I believe, in the house, but is it possible you think for us to win the majority back someday? Did ever race even have a competitor? I know here in my district the lady running for re-election was unopposed. I know we can hope to win it back someday, I certainly do, but I'm not sure how plausible it is.

I find 125 house districts all up for election every two years. Apparently there were no senate elections this year. Odd. I know they are 4 year terms, but I am surprised they are not staggered like the US Senate.
21 Democrats ran unopposed, including two locally. 22 Republicans ran unopposed as well including Lenny Wilk of Lansing. I also include 4 districts which had no Democratic opponent, but the 61st there was a Libertarian and a Reform candidate who got 20% of the vote combined. However, I find the results as reported to be inaccurate - they do not count the people in the district who voted for 'none of the above' especially in the races where there was only one candidate, but also if there's an R, an L and an F, how many Democrats didn't vote for any of them? The 106th had a Republican and a Libertarian who got 21.8% (which is more than some Democratic opponents got in some races). The 119th had a Libertarian who got 14.5% and the 121st had Libertarian and Reformed candidates who got 10% combined. I only mention those races because there was no Democrat running.

Also, contrary to popular belief, there are registered Democrats in every county in Kansas.
