My letter to Dennis More
I received your letter about the war in Iraq and I am informing you that I will no longer support you for re-election. My intention is to only support candidates who promote bringing our troops home NOW.

I spent some time in Crawford, TX with Cindy Sheehan last month. While you and your fellow legislators and our president were all on vacation, an anti-war movement gained momentum in the Texas heat. Every single one of our elected representatives (but especially the Democrats) needs to wake up and pay attention to the voices of the anti-war movement. There were hundreds of thousands of them in DC this weekend. Were you listening?

There are no WMDs, there is no connection between Iraq and 9/11, Sadaam was NOT connected to Al Qaeda. It is time for our representatives to wake up, admit this war is a mistake and bring our troops home before more are killed. Until I hear you advocate ending this war, you have lost my vote.

Sincerely,

1. Great letter! I think he needs to get one from each of us.
I'm getting so sick of our reps' attempts to cover their asses by supporting the war. It's unconscionable, and they should be able to see that by now.

2. Send him a letter!
It was a hard thing to do because I do genuinely like him. But damnit, I was so pissed when I got the letter from him saying he supported the war. Then I turn on CSPAN yesterday and other than Jesse Jackson, I see no politicians at the rally in DC. And Jesse Jackson is really more of a preacher than a politician.

It is time for our elected leaders to stop ignoring the anti-war movement.

3. Oh, I will. Seems like I've been scolding him a lot lately.

4. Kucinich and his wife showed up
that's according to my red-haired friend who was there. She said they were walking around and it really energized the crowd. Unfortunately he was the only one I heard about.
