Kansas--the laughing stock of the world
This is one of the most delightful pieces of vicious satire I have seen in years. It concerns the necessity to teach that the Flying Spaghetti Monster created the world and all that is in it.

For example:

"Let us remember that there are multiple theories of Intelligent Design. I and many others around the world are of the strong belief that the universe was created by a Flying Spaghetti Monster. It was He who created all that we see and all that we feel. We feel strongly that the overwhelming scientific evidence pointing toward evolutionary processes is nothing but a coincidence, put in place by Him."

The site also informs us that there is a direct positive correlation between global warming the the diminishing number of pirates in the world--with the chart to back up this stupendous scientific fact.

I urge all Kansans to view this alternative theory to ID and Darwin and see that it is added to Kansas school curriculum's as soon as possible. The State Board of Education should hold hearings immediately. Demand our rights.

1. It's a national embarassment: A vortex of ignorance that threatens to
suck the whole country into it. And it's funny only until the the point where these knuckle-draggers (pun intended) take over school boards and can cause real changes to how children are educated. The latest:

4. Whatever people! Y'all know you have to get in line behind Georgia
Where it takes a court order to remove stickers about evolution that were put there by the State School Superintendent.

Y'all ain't got nothin' on us! We're dumber than you are! So there! :P

5. Actually, it's willful ignorance.
I have no doubts in my mind that there is not a single person advocating ID who believes that it has anything to do with science. It's all about wacko fairy tale fundies getting their rocks off.

8. now wait just a goldarned minute
"If they win final approval, Kansas will join Minnesota, Ohio and New Mexico, all of which have adopted critical analysis of evolution in the last four years."

It seems like I have been hearing for a few years that the fumbducks of Kansas were on the cutting edge of this issue. Now I read that we are actually only doing something that supercilious blue Minnesota has already done. Let's make fun of them a little too. They're the ones who elected an all-star wrestler to be their Governor. And what about Ohio - weren't they the ones who gave the latest election to the Chimperator? But Kansas is touted as the national embarrassment?

9. what is so funny about that?
Sure the whole thing is a pile of phlogiston, but the whole concept behind WWJD is supposed to inspire people to be honest, compassionate, empathetic and altruistic. I do not see why that would be mocked by anybody who is not an a$$hole.
