Brownback for President?
Our Dear Senator seems to be running for President. He is sticking his nose in places far from Kansas, like into gay civil rights in the colony of Washington, DC. Should we warn the world?

1. Sorry, I don't speak "crazy."
I'm reasonably sure that this clown has a bill that would make it illegal for US citizens to return to the US if they received stem cell or other genetic treatment abroad. WOW! He's our guy, gotta be, the one to end science in America. BTW, after he was elected the first time, there was a big scandal about his fund raising. However, this is nothing to his inhuman position on medical treatment and the freedoms of the American people.

Is this guy the biggest disgrace in the US Senate, or what?

2. Hell yes
I haven't lived in Kansas for over a decade but I remember Brownback from when he was at the Kansas Farm Bureau.
I've been following his exploits since then off and on.
He's one scary character.

5. In a way...
... I would hope that the wingnuts would pick him. All a Democrat would need to do to win would be to quote him....

In the encyclopedia, under "wackadoo," it says, "See Sam Brownback." :)

7. I think he'd be a good pick pick too.
I liken it to the Kris Kobach-Dennis Moore race. Kobach (can you believe he has his own radio show?) was just too conservative for most people and Moore had his biggest victory margin against him. Brownback might appease many of the wackos of his party but he does not appeal to the majority of people that follow politics loosely and rely on sound bites and campaign ads to make their choice. Can you imagine the ads they could run attacking him with his own political ideals and quotes? He's his own worst enemy!

8. I hope you're right ... but my confidence in the voting public has
slipped a bit lately. I'm probably just paranoid...

9. I totally agree. He makes Dubya look like Winston Churchill.
But I don't think we'll be so lucky.

6. He's a member of Opus Dei (the radical Catholic sect), and is
pushing for legislation like the Constitution Restoration Act. He's scarier to me than many of the other neocons, because he honestly is trying to establish a theocracy (not just going through the motions to appease the religious right). If he were elected, he'd be worse than Bush, and that ain't easy. :scared:

11. He has had staff members all remove their shoes and he washes their
feet too.... like Jesus in the Bible. I swear I bet he goes to his office and jacks off afterwards. He must have a foot fetish

12. That reminds me of Asscroft
having himself anointed with oil before he takes the oath of office.

These people are frickin insane! Why oh why doesn't most of America see that?

10. Another article about this came out this morning (gag alert!)
PARKER -- One-time bull rider Sam Brownback is edging onto the back of the biggest, baddest creature in the political arena.

The U.S. senator, raised in this far eastern Kansas farm community of 280 people, is tugging hard on the brim of his Stetson and putting rosin to glove leather in anticipation of a possible run for president of the United States. He hasn't announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination in 2008. Nobody serious about this wide-open race would use spurs at this juncture. For now, aspirants earn points for being coy instead of cavalier.

Just what we need ... another fake cowboy!

There's more here. Wear hip boots, they're laying it on pretty thick. :P
