Shrubeenie to campaign for reverse Robin Hood

Bush to visit Iowa, campaign for Nussle
JANE NORMAN
REGISTER WASHINGTON BUREAU

March 20, 2006

Washington, D.C. — President Bush will campaign in Iowa in April for U.S. Rep. Jim Nussle's campaign for governor, Republican sources told The Des Moines Register today.

The president is expected in Des Moines on April 11 for an evening fund-raising event at Hy-Vee Hall in downtown Des Moines.

Bush last visited Iowa almost a year ago, with a March 2005 visit to Cedar Rapids to discuss Social Security.

The White House could not immediately confirm whether the president will be taking part in any additional events while in Des Moines

So will Nussle show up or will he be conveniently absent when shrubeenie darkens our state like these guys?

1. Thanks for the info.

No one should even THINK of protesting this visit. Why, that would be positively unAmerican! So if you DO think about protesting this visit, or if you have any more information, you should definately NOT pm me.

3. If shrubeenie keeps up his PR campaign he could be in the 20s
by the time he gets to DM. Maybe dead-eye Dick can come, too.
I am just hoping that no one will embarrass Geaorge W. "two-term mandate, leader of the free world, emporer of Iraq" Shrubeenie while he is in our state.

4. I hope Dick doesn't decide to "retire" early
If he quits, *'s numbers would probably go up. Of course, * is so obstinate that I doubt he would ever ask Dick to step down.

5. I have said before and still believe that Unca Dick will step down
so the repressives can hand pick a successor and groom HIM(women need not apply). This will give them the "carry on Fuckhead's policies" campaign. They need to do this because someone from the outside of their crime cabal may start asking questions even if they are republican. Won't be McCain or Guiliani or Romney. I am guessing George Allen. He's dumb as a rock, totally maleable, speaks well and is very pretty who rode up on his daddy's legacy. He's got the whole "W" package.

6. Dick will be out in 2007
I agree with you, but I am not sure who will get the VP spot. My guess is that it will be McCain. He is sucking up to Bush very hard to get it. They will not squander the VP spot on someone who is not electable in 2008, and I think Allen is not electable. Of course, I thought George Bush was too stupid to get elected, so you don't listen to me.

8. I don't think McCain is palatable to the far-right-wingers
I think he'd be a tough sell. What about Romney?

13. McCain isn't a right winger?
Don't be deluded by the act he puts on! I can still see him hugging Shrub in that one recent photo.

16. He's not far enough right for some of the neanderthals
why else would they have sabotaged his 2000 run?

He's definitely right of center, but I think he leaves some wiggle room.

of shrubeenie with only 2 weeks til shrubeenie shows up.
The DMR article says an evening appearance on April 11th (a tuesday I believe) at the HyVee center. I know nothing about DesMoines. Can anyone in DesMoines help?

Wouldn't you think if THE PRES. OF THE US was coming to campaign for you you'd want to tell someone? Especially a pres who garners support from 30% or so of the voters in the state.

17. They sent out the fancy invites to all that needed to know
The poor slaves that visit his website don't need to know about it. They can't afford the $200 dinner and Nussle doesn't care about them anyway.

18. I've been all over the internets looking, too
My vacation day for April 11th was approved, and I plan to drive a few friends to Des Moines to give Commander Bunnypants the type of Iowa welcome he deserves!

I suppose they will keep mum until the last week or so about the itinerary. Should anyone hear anything about what time my patriotic friends and I might want to be at the Hy-Vee Hall, please PM me or respond here.

Thanks!

Maggie

14. I suppose they will remove half of DM just to make sure
the shrubster will feel comfortable there. Waukee or Altoona will be "free speech zones."

19. Is this still going to happen?
I just read yesterday somewhere that this may not happen now, thus the lack of fanfare. But I was working and got called to a meeting and forgot to post it...now I don't know where I read it.

Doh!

I will look around and see what I can find.

20. Seth, I saw it on Cityline - but the Civic Skinny and The List were
so OUT THERE this week that I didn't post anything here. Let us know if you see it in a more...um...reputable publication :P
