Iowa DU Gathering?

We need to have an Iowa DU Gathering. The last time I posted this we decided that it should be in the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids area. I live in Central Iowa, but went to school 3 years ago in Iowa City, so I know that area and would be willing to organize one there. I don't know much about CR.

With that in mind, there are events going on in Iowa City the next 2 weekends. The Iowa DU Gathering could be held following these events.

Please post if you are interested in attending and if you have a preference on which weekend.

Sat. Feb 25th -
John Edwards will speak Saturday, February 25th at Vito's IN IOWA CITY at 12:00 noon. This is a fundraiser for the Johnson County Democratic Party

1. I'm still hoping that we can get together at the State Convention

Maybe Friday night in leiu of the Hall of Fame Dinner (Unless you all want to 'Honor' our Governor one more time).

Please, please, please if everyone gets together take pics and post on the boa rd...Iowa has great representation here, let's let it show!

2. Wife and I will be at Loebsack's office opening

We can go up there @ 2 if that sounds good. Hoping Dave has a good turnout. As far as Edwards goes, we will be seeing him in Muscy Sunday afternoonat his fundraiser there.

Professional and nice looking piece. Yep, a check will be going in to that envelope and being sent back to him!

6. Saturday the 25th sounds good here

Unfortunately, I work some different kind of hours, so Saturdays are not always possible, except after 5 PM. But the Edwards thing sounds good as I have vacation that day. Open for other suggestions.

No one was interested in the 18th.

One person said the 25th, anyone else?

Otherwise, we can do something in March after the County Conventions maybe and the follow that with Debi's idea about the a gathering at the State Convention in June.
