Drake conservatives plan Freedom Week
Taken from the front (?!?!) page of today's DM Register.

http://www.desmoinesregister.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20051103/NEWS02/511030392/1001

"Conservative students say liberalism is pushed excessively on the campus, through speakers, official events and professors' viewpoints."

In response, they are planning a "Freedom Week" (hosted by the College Republican Chapter & Network of Enlightened Women) beginning Monday. They will have t-shirts, Reagan posters and so-forth.

-----

Frankly, I don't care too much about what the Drake Republicans are up to. I'm also not at all upset this is an article in the Register. I am, however, quite concerned that this is a FRONT PAGE article on the Register. Why did they get top billing?

2. Freedom Week?
Lol..do any of these geniuses really understand what has happened to freedom, worldwide, since Bush went cookoo after 9/11?

How bout they celebrate "Corruption Week" or something else they know a little about.

I am interested to see just how they celebrate their freedom.

3. 'Network of Enlightened Women' (LOL)
Majoring in cooking, cleaning and breeding. Can make a dry martini and agree with hubby's incredibly insightful opinion at one time. Very devout american chistian (is there any other kind?) and speaks only when spoken to. Athletic (cheerleader) and constantly cheerful. YES! This is what a woman should be! These ladies won't be caught in short skirts or without a bra.
Yes, this is what enlightenment is meant to be.

4. I had to add that part!
I was wondering if anyone else would have my unique sense of humor about the title of that group. LMAO!! Enlightenment, complete with shock therapy for those who speak out of turn.

5. Fairly certain these are english-speakers only.
Praise Jesus! If he didn't love me and I didn't deserve it I wouldn't be rich now would I? Poor people should work harder and go to better schools and buy bigger cars.

6. If I were a repug,
I'd be keeping a low profile about now. Why would you want people to know you're part of the party that's doin' a heckuva job?!

I, too, found that "enlightenment" idea a bit much!

They do make me laugh!
