1. Ugh. This will take years to recover from.
I saw a man on TV recently whose farm is still underwater. He just seemed defeated by the whole thing.

What a mess.. but there is one bright spot in this.. we are going to need a LOT of workmen to rebuild.. privately and publicly.

3. Hopefully they'll get paid decent wages.
...but I'm not optimistic. Didn't Bush waive the Davis-Bacon Act requirements after Katrina so guest workers could be payed a lower wage?
