Legislator wants to have description of state seal changed
I got a good laugh out of this one;

An Iowa legislator says the legal description of the state's seal should be rewritten to eliminate a reference to a citizen soldier "with a plow in his rear."

Rep. Ray Zirkelbach, a Democrat from Monticello, said the suggestion that the wording of the legal description be changed came from a constituent.

State records indicate the description of the state seal was approved by Iowa's first General Assembly on Feb. 25, 1847.

Zirkelbach said the "in the rear" description of the state seal evokes different images today than it did 163 years ago.

Lol. That'd be a lot better thing to do than changing the oath legislators take.

1. Ha ha ha. That's great!
They better not get this confused with the oath bill. They might end up taking an oath to put a plow in their rears.
