Grassley touring over break. Try to attend a session in your area.
Schedule: http://grassley.senate.gov/news/Article.cfm?customel_dataPageID_1502=19972

Folks,
Liberals seldom attend Grassley sessions. And he seldom goes where we are. Looks like northeast and western Iowa. He needs to be HAMMERED on health care.
From Rapid Response:
=======================================================================
If you can attend a meeting, here are some questions to ask Grassley: (feel free to use your own...) Scroll down for schedule or visit Chuck's website. And please pass this on to your progressive friends...

1. Since he will be a key player on national health reform, why does he prefer private insurance plans over a public option (as in traditional Medicare)? He recently told Obama: “There’s a lot of us that feel that the public option is an unfair competitor.” Why does Grassley feel the public option is an "unfair competitor"? Maybe it's because big pharma gives him lots of $$$$:

Grassley was a chief architect of Medicare Part D legislation that nearly bankrupts his fellow senior citizens since it was written by and for big pharma. Grassley was rewarded from the pharmaceutical industry in campaign contributions amounting to over $87,000 after his Medicare Part D legislation became law in 2004 as he was running for Senate re-election, according to the website "opensecrets".

2. Grassley recently told a reporter from the "Columbia Journalism Review" that he approved of a smear campaign launched by Fox News and Rush Limbaugh (below). Ask Grassley, based on his comment, why he approves of telling lies to his constituents over telling the truth, and why he prefers insurance companies practicing medicine over doctors?

"I think they ought to hype them right now because people's attention needs to be brought to it, and that's the only way you're going to get their attention. When the dust settles, they won't have a leg to stand on and we will have and we will have a study and a tool that will be useful for doctors to use but not to dictate medicine."

Grassley plans to visit 33 counties this month
The Gazette

Sen. Chuck Grassley, an Iowa Republican, will be holding meetings in 33 counties Monday through April 17 during the congressional recess.

"I've met with Iowans in every county, every year I've represented Iowa in the United States Senate," he said. "It's this exchange of ideas that gives me greater insight directly from Iowans that I can take to Washington with me."

Grassley will participate in a health care forum for Divided We Fail, an initiative sponsored by AARP, the National Federation of Independent Businesses, the Service Employees International Union and the Business Roundtable, in Mason City. The forum will help Grassley continue gathering information from Iowans on health care reform that is being developed by Congress.

Grassley will hold town hall meetings in Allison, Audubon, Bedford, Charles City, Charter Oak, Clarion, Clermont, Greenfield, Grundy Center, Glenwood, Hampton, Jesup, Lime Springs, Manly, Massena, Mount Ayr, Nashua, Onawa, Prescott, Riceville, Sidney, Stanton, Titonka and Waverly.
