SCHIP - Grassley votes against it after he votes for it
Remember all that praise Grassley got for voting for SCHIP last round? How he castigated his fellow Republicans? Well that didn't last long did it.

Makes you wonder what could cause "moderate" Chuck Grassley to change from a firm supporter of SCHIP to someone who voted against it? I Does he fear a primary and have to kiss up to the base? Was he trying to pad his resume previously, knowing Bush had his back and would veto anything that wouldn't help a billionaire?
Jeez I can't wait til farmer Chuck is retired.

1. That's why I'm hammering so hard on the Democrats making...
...more than a token effort to unseat Grassley come 2010.

Hope we can come up with a candidate with a name who can battle Chuckles.

3. He's been in public office nearly 50 years. That should be enough.

4. that is what always makes me gag - he pulls this 'down home'
horseshit - how he's just a farmer etc. He's been in politics since he was what - 21? And his one boy bellies up pretty deep into the federal trough. Last i looked a couple years ago he had hit it to the tune of $650,000. And that data was a couple years old then.
