I guess Vilsack won't become Secretary of Agriculture after all.
People in other fora are rejoicing. One said he's hated "that DLC POS since the 2004 primaries." My disdain for the Tom and Christie Show doesn't go quite that far back. But pretty far back. Main reason is his servitude to GMO's and other sinister biotech monstrosities.

1. What are you doing up at 2:00 AM?
I just came over to post the DMR article and you scooped me by over four hours!

My feelings toward the duo run a decade and it continually involves the progress of Iowa vs. the progress of one individual. If the Obama Administration doesn't find a spot for either one of them it looks like they're back to using us Iowans as their base to climb over..er...on...um..with??

;)

5. Against Grassley?
Or waiting to see if Grassley retires?

You know my hope...Braley runs for the seat if Grassley retires. But if TV wants to challenge Chuck, so be it.

7. John Philpot Curran? Wendell Phillips???

I don't know that it was to be taken literally - more figuratively perhaps?

8. Who the hell is the first guy?
Also, we take everything literally around here! So be careful what you say because we have almost no sense of irony since we used up our supply during the last 8 years.

3. What would qualify him to be Secretary of Agriculture anyway?
What sort of agriculture creds does he bring to a job like that. He isn't a farmer, and I bet the only reason he's even visited any farms is because he was Governor of this state. Hell, I ain't a farmer but I bet I know as much about farming as him. I do know that I like to eat.

4. We had a similar conversation on this board earlier...nobody could come up with
a clear reason why.

I guess President Obama feels the same?
