Gee, she is such a nice person. It was a meeting after a speech. She had just blown us away in her speech and a few of us were invited for coffee. We got to sit next to her. As we got settled we chatted about her kids. How Malia was actually granny-sitting because Grandma had the flu or something. How Malia seems to pick things up so easily. How Sasha is just the apple of Dad's eye.
She is a very real person who really dotes on her children. In other words just like us.

1. Michelle gave the best speech I heard last year and I went to a lot of them

I heard all the Democratic candidates numerous times (Edwards and Obama 8 or 9 times, Biden, Richardson, Dodd around 5 each, Clinton and Kucinich a couple) and a few Republicans and Michelle Obama gave the best speech of them all.

Her speech on Monday at the Convention was good, but I don't think it was as good as the speech I heard. Maybe that's because I wasn't seeing it live, not sure.
