Rants for governor?
I heard on WSUI the other day that Christopher Rants was considering a run for governor. I hope he does. Then more of Iowa can learn what he has done to move Iowa backwards. Bribe taking little asshole that he is.

1. Act Blue Candidate can take him down this year
On Harkin's website you can choose Harkin's support for a House and a Senate candidate. I would suggest that you support Carlos Venable Ridley who is in position to run Chris Rants right out of office. He is an Iraq War vet, community activist, and actively involved in a large local church where he father is pastor (if I heard correctly). Rants is running scared. Here are some links:

If you want Sen. Harkin to support Carlos, click here and choose him in the House race in District 54:

He is a link to a local news report with a picture of Carlos and some background on him and his issues:
<http://www.ktiv.com/News/index.php?ID=23455>

Carlos is the Project Director of Safe Schools, Healthy Students in Sioux City.

Looking at the caucus info, the democratic caucuses this January had nearly three times the turnout as the prior record. Rants' district has always been competitive, but he has always gotten a pass. Not this year. The demographics have also changed as Sioux City continues to become more diverse.

I would suggest that the netroots here on DU consider adopting Carlos' candidacy and putting a roadblock to Rants for Governor ... such as a defeat in his House seat this November.

2. Here's hoping for a Rants-vs-King primary...
Knock one out in the primary, the other out in the general!

3. Rants is such an ideal surname for a repug. Or someone who
regularly posts in GD-P!

9. The University of Iowa Library and the Iowa State Historical Society Library
should have most of my writings. Some are on eBay for sale and some can be ordered through bookstores or from moi! What do you like? Fiction? History? Poetry? Essays?
