Bush snubs family of slain 10 year old girl
Good PR there *

Girl's family unable to see Bush

Family members of the 10-year-old Cedar Rapids girl who was abducted and killed last week tried to see President Bush during his stop in Cedar Rapids Wednesday. But the group was turned away because the event was full.
NO TICKETS: John Opala, a spokesman for Jetseta Gage's family, said eight family members from Iowa and Wisconsin tried to get tickets for Bush's appearance at Kirkwood Community College but were turned away with hundreds of others.
TRAGEDY: "We wanted to talk to the president or one of his advisors to bring this situation to their attention," said Opala, of Marshall, Wis. "We can't bring Jetseta back, obviously. But it's tragic for this community and our family and our entire country. We just wanted the president to know."
MORE THAN EXPECTED: The event was originally expected to draw 800 to 1,000 people. But fire officials closed the doors to the campus gymnasium after about 1,350 had been granted entry. About 400 people were turned away, staff members said.

1. This Should Prove To Everyone....
...that Bush doesn't give a rat's ass about anyone but himself any anyone or anything that will advance his agenda.

It's disgusting how he and the otehr neo-cons are exploiting Terri Schiavo.

6. His people gave him some bum advice.....and he did not over rule like
a true compassionate person would. So Much for HIS power that he is guided by sick nerds.

2. If he "cares" so much
then he could have asked the family to wait until after the event so he could talk to them personally. I hate how this man (and I hesitate to call him that) acts like he's a real personable guy but he's just an ass kisser to the repukes.

5. They can't afford ANYTHING that would take * out of his happy place
or disturb his groove. He cannot cope with anything that isn't carefully stage-managed. It never can be even a little bit about somebody else, it has to always be about him. It's what he absolutely needs or he will self-destruct right there for all the world to see.

7. The audtiorium should have held more than 1,350

but from what I understand from an employee at the college they changed the configuration of the stage at the last minute (meaning after it was set up, wired, etc). That might explain why they didn't have room for the Gage family and others that wanted contact with the pResident.

What a bunch of creeps, thye send the pres out to speak to the people then carefully control who is present. :eyes:

8. If it doesn't benefit Bush, he doesn't want any part of it.
